I have a question on the switching hub (HPE 1420 16G).
The panel was connected to the switching hub (HPE 1420), and the network was confirmed with the following three patterns.
· Auto negotiation ON Communication speed: 10 Mbps
· Auto negotiation ON Communication speed: 100 Mbps
· Auto-negotiation ON Communication speed: 1 Gbps
Network connection / disconnection occurs repeatedly only when the communication speed setting is 100 Mbps.
Is there a solution?
Hello,
I have a problem with the switch HP 1820-48g. Everything works but the Fault/Locator is blinking orange 1sec . I`am search in the fault rapport but there are no errors found. What can it be?
I have this problem now for a long time but i can`t find a solution for this. Can someone help me please?
i have 2 switch HPE 1920.
my config:
sw1: port 38 - Link type trunk (pvid 1) tagged 101, untagged 1
port 31 - link type - access untagged 101
for check i create vlan interface 10.100.100.1/24 (vlan101)
sw2: port 40 - Link type trunk (pvid 1) tagged 101, untagged 1
port 39 - link type - access untagged 101
for check i create vlan interface 10.100.100.2/24 (vlan101)
connected port 38 on sw1 to port 40 on sw2
i set two notebook (icmpv4 enable).
notebook1 (ip:10.100.100.3/24) connected to port 31 on sw1
notebook2 (ip:10.100.100.55/24) connected to port 39 on sw2
I send ping from notebook1 to sw1 - passed
I send ping from sw1 to notebook1 - passed
I send ping from notebook2 to sw2 - passed
I send ping from sw2 to notebook2 - passed
But,
if i send ping from notebook1 or sw1 to sw2 or notebook2 - get timout
and
if i send ping from notebook2 or sw2 to sw1 or notebook1 - get timout
i can't understand why?
i havn't problem with configuration vlan on switches and routers other firms

Dear Freinds
can any one tell me how to copy configuration from switch hp1920 to another , i made backup of configuration for .cfg and .xml files and i restored in the other switch and saved and i rebooted the device but no vhange happed , also i used cli but i didnot found option for this model of switch.
can any one help me to solve this issue...
thanks alot..
I have receiced a problem from my customer about high ping delay of HP 1910-24G. If i ping another network device through the switch, the delay will be less than 1ms. But if i ping directly to the switch, the delay is equal to 1ms or higher. This problem is the same with HP 2520 series witth latest firmware, so i think is this a firmware problem or because of hp switching 's architecture
This problem doesn't present on Cisco Switch thought
I have hp1910 24port POE switch, I am using interface 25 as trunk port with fiber cable , the problem is when i connect this switch with the Other switch(5412zl) the interface is not comming up, i checked the interface i found the link type twisted pair. i want to chage it to suppoet fiber.
note : i am using J4858C in both sides
Need help setting up Layer 2 VLANs to be transported between Buildings via Firewalls.
Note these are 1920S seriew which only has an imbedded Browser for the configuration.
Would like an example of just 1 VLAN Access Port to the Link Port to the Firewall that I can setup in the 2 switches and test.
I am new to this product, until last week this wasn't my project, and so far I cannot get any of the VLANs work.
Please answer for the 1920S product only as has a completely different webpage design thatn the 1920.
Also, the 1920S does not allow for CLI Telnet nor does it have a serial port.
Any help or getting pointed in the right direction is very much appreciated.
Thanks,
J.J.
G'day 4all!
I have exactly the same problem as described here: https://community.hpe.com/t5/Web-and-Unmanaged/HP-1920-temporary-no-reply-to-ICMP-request/td-p/6873613 (the solution was not found there).
HPE1920 (PoE) with the latest version of the firmware - 5.20.R1117, two VLAN's. ip binded only to the management VLAN 1 interface.
I used PingInfoView from NirSoft (timeout 1000ms, 5 seconds between the pings) for pinging switches.
What's happening: HPE 1920 (8 and 24 ports models) sometimes stops responding to ping requests, and usually it is lost several consecutive replies: from 5 to 10! (this means that the switch was not replied within almost a full minute!). Transit traffic is NOT lost, only the replies from the switch disappear:

According to my observations, the loss of responses from the switches does not directly depend on the load on the network, they happened both during working hours and at night (eg at 2:00 AM).
Now we have three HPE1920 switches, and with all there is such a problem. Soon we will have several dozen HP 1920, I would like to understand and eliminate the reason for their such behavior.
TIA,
Sergei
I have an hpe officeconnect 1920 and i have already configured the vlan interface IPs, the default gateway and the static ruotes
if I try to send packets from the switch (diagnostic tool) I can reach internet... but if I do the same from a desktop connected to the switch, I cannot... the default gateway of the desktop is ok and if I want to reach a pc on other vlan i can reach it too....
any suggestion?
I have followed the documentation step by step and can not get the "Member" or "slave" to show up under the topology tab. I've been working at this for hours and am beyond frustrated. Especially since i tried to convince the customer to buy Cisco, I would have had all these switches (6 total, 3 stacks) completely configured by now.
User/pass are the same on both switches
Date and time is the same on both switches
I am using PowerSNMP to capture some SNMP data from a 1920-24G (JG924A). I've got it all set up for the general data and that is working fine but I am having trouble importing the MIB's in to the software package. I have tried V8 and V9 from the website (https://h10145.www1.hpe.com/Downloads/SoftwareReleases.aspx?ProductNumber=JG924A&lang=en&cc=us&prodSeriesId=7399514) and when I go to import them I get an error box come up saying:
"Error generating MIB nodes: Identifier <hh3cFCoEConfig> is not defined in module <HH3C-FCOE-MIB> and is not in any imported modules. Fatal compile error."
Any ideas on how I can resolve this?
Thanks
Hello, people, if anyone can help me, I'm grateful.
Next, we have in the installation equipment Switch1820 48G PoE + (370W) J9984A (edge equipment), and I need to know whether the possibility of configuring HYBRID ports so that it can traffic several vlans tagged and one untagged synonymous ?? I know this equipment has web interface only.
I need this option to have the Wifi SSID work:
I have 3 vlans (tagged) that must pass through the port of the switch and will be received by the WIFI in the 3 corresponding SSIDs and an administrative vlan untagged that will be used to administer the Wifi device.
I tested it on another A5120 JG236A device and it worked.
Grateful
I've created a PHP script to output a list of which MAC/IP is on each port of the 1910/1920 series, and it works fine but...
It works fine only as far as I have only 1 VLAN and I keep the Switch's VLAN Interface with an IP address...
Let's say I have 20 VLANs and I want to be able to list all IP/MAC/PORT data... do I really have to add VLAN interface AND provide an IP address to all the 20 VLANs ?
The script is here: HP SNMP IP MAC PORT List
Hello,
I' m new at HP products. How can I activate ssh on a HP 1820-24G-PoE+ switch? It isn't possible with the web interface. Only https. I've generated a certificate.

Bonjour,
Merci d'avance.
Hello,
Ihave a switch HP 1920-16G currently in default configuration, I do not understand why when i plug my raspberry pi 2 B the port lan of it does not activeate ?
This is not a problem on the raspberry pi because when i plus the LAN into my router Freebox the port is active.
Is this a switch option ?
Thank you in advance.
I am new to VLANs. We have an HP 1920 Managed Switch. We defined a VLAN - VLAN 100, tag 100. We then selected all ports and tagged them for this VLAN. Now I cannot access the switch to manage it. I also cannot ping it. The network is fine - I can ping other devices. How can I get back into the switch? Factory reset?
Good afternoon,
I am new to the forum, I have doubts in the following scenario,
Is it possible to have access to all vlans in all swtches in the image?
If possible, how should I proceed?
Is it possible in these equipments (2x 1820-24G, 1x 1920-24G?
thank you!
