Hello
I was wondering if anyone else is having an issue with HP 1920 (jg928a-cmw520-r1112.bin) when it comes to privilege level when authenticating through radius?
I have tried different comware vendor specific attributes, including H3c, 3com, HP and Huawei, but unfortunately nothing seems to work for me. when doing a "display users" it shows me that my privilege level is 0.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!! : )
Hello,
We have two JH295A. We need support because:
- We can't upgrade the firmware (timeout during upload)
- We can't set-up stack (hpps error)
- We can't setup it with console cable
WE CAN'T REGISTER THE WARRANTY with this error:
This entitlement does not exist. Please review the entitlement identifier and make any necessary edits, or check the box to remove this item.
So, What can we do?

Hey,
we have two stacked 1950 12XG which we want to connect to two stacked 1950 24G PoE. The connections between the switch stacks have to VLAN Trunk ports and we would like to have them aggregated.
But, at the moment we configure a dynamic link aggregation group on two VLAN trunk ports, they went from up to down. If we create the lagg first and add then the VLAN trunk configuration, the port also went down. Physical they are still patched and the leds on the switch stay green, but without flashing.
All switches are running the latest firmware and the VLAN trunk configuration and the link aggregation configuration is working, as long as only the one or the other is configured.
We need the VLAN configuration, but we also want link aggregation, as without it, we only have one link between our switch stacks. Have we made a mistake in the configuration or is it a firmware bug?
Hello
we have Problems with two HP Switches:
1x
HPE OfficeConnect Switch 1920S 48G 4SFP JL382A
1x HPE OfficeConnect Switch 1820 24G J9980A
These both are connectet with 2 LWL cables. I have all 4 Ports configured with 2 VLANs (1+2) and all 4 Ports in mode tagging and include. So it works with 1 LWL Connection fine! Now i will make a trunk over the 2 LWL connections. When i configured these, the hole network breaks! All connections are lost on all PC´s..... and the configurend Ports are automatic in mode tagged and exclude on both vlans ?!
I need Help
Good Morning
I can't manage my Switch from a different network than it is, I can telnet to service ports 80, 22 and 23, but it doesn't allow access. Ex:
My switch has IP 10.1.1.100
I am trying to access the web interface from ip 10.1.2.100, I can close telnet but he does not allow services.
Hello Team,
I am wondering if you can help me out.
I got two HPE OfficeConnect Switch 1920S JL382A and I am not able to register ip phone grandstream throught the switch. If I run an application in a computer as ip communicator everything workes fine. The issue is just with physical ip phones.
I alredy did a factory default configuracion and updated the firmware of the switches to the latest version but the isuse is the same.
I enable/disable LLDP-MED AND Auto voice VLAN with no luck.
If I replace the switch to another one everyting works fine.
We are using a single vlan(vlan 1) and for sure I am able to ping the pbx from the switch.
Any help is wellcome.

Hi,
I have a problem with 3 hp 1950 switches.
We had a problem with a 3 stack configuation.
It was a circle stack with irf
48 port (slave 1)
48 port (Master)
48 port POE (slave 2)
When we noticed that some client weren't getting a network signal we decided to reboot all switches, however when we did this it turned out that the firmware image corrupted. It only boots into BootRom. When it tries to load the firmware it says that the image is invalid.
When we logged in with console and tried to boot an older firmware it also said that was corrupted, in the master switch we can't get the extended boot menu either (the other 2 we can get the extended boot menu but loading firm ware with tftp doesnt seem to work)
We tried with XModem but: 1. it takes like 2 hours to transfer and 2. the console session keeps crashing
What else can we try?
Current firmware: 1950-cmw710-system-R3113P02 (corrupt)
Boot image version: 7.1.045
UPDATE: TFTP worked on 2 switches so they are fixed, however on the last switch it just doesnt want to load the extended boot menu
UPDATE2: After restaring the switch a bunch of times and deleting all old firmware files it managed to load the extended boot menu and i was able to load the firmware with TFTP.
Evening everyone.
I've got an issue here with setting up the DHCP Relay on an HPE 1920S 24Port PoE switch we have at our one remote office. I am setting up a relay for all VLAN 50 dhcp requests (guest wifi) to be sent to our firewall/router which handles the guest wifi routing. However, when I log into our switch, go to Routing > DHCP Relay and enter the IP of the firewall/router, I get the following error message:
"An IP helper address cannont be configured on this type of interface."
As far as I know, this model of switch does not have a CLI that I can access. Here's the odd thing. For our internal corporate network, this switch handles a Vlan-6 and the DHCP relay entered to our Windows DHCP server was entered and works just fine.
Here is how Vlan-50 & Vlan-6 are setup in case this makes any difference:
Vlan-50: The port the AP is connected too is "Tagged" and "Included". The port that our switch connects to our fiberback-haul to the main site is "Tagged" and "Included". Each port of the two switches at our main site that Vlan-50 flows through is appropriately tagged. This 1920S Vlan-50 interface has a static IP assigned, 192.168.2.10. I can access to the Ping utility on this 1920S and successfully ping the router/firewall (192.168.2.1). Now at our Main site, guest-wifi works great on Vlan-50. There the wireless connection hits the Ubiquiti AP, then touches the Ubiquiti switch, then hits the core HPE 1950 switch and then goes straight to the router. The vlan-50 interfaces on the Ubiquiti and and 1950 do NOT have static IP's assigned.
Vlan-6: All ports on the switch that touch local client machines are "Untagged" and "Included". The port that connects to our fiber backhaul is "Tagged" and "Included" as well. The port on the switch at the main site that our backhaul traffic arrives on (1920S) is tagged and included as well as having a static IP on it's vlan-6 interface. The interface for the off-site vlan-6 has a static IP as well. All of that traffic is sent to the Windows DHCP server for IP allocation.
Any ideas? I tried to attach screenshots of the issue, but was unable to do so, the feature is not enabled for me at this time.
Thanks!
hi all,
I have an HPE SW 1910-48G working normally until today. After I plugged an RJ45 cable to connect my fingerprint device (use 1 2 3 6 cable only) into port 48 => the port is shut down and disabled till now (when I connect it to another device it does now turn on the light and nothing happen)
When I check in the Interface Statistic, it showed that port 48 is InDiscards and InErrors. The same thing happened to another port in another SW when I try to test the cable connected with the fingerprint.
Is there any solution to restore the port? Is that a problem with the electric shock go through RJ45? But my SWs is not a POE...
Thanks much.
Hello,
I have switch 1920S , model JL386A with POE. This switch is making noise about 45 dB. Is there a way to replace standard fan that is placed within switch with new one (extremely silent one)?
POE is mandatory so replacement of entire switch is not an option.
Maybe anyone have an better idea to mute this switch? I can only say that i cannot move this switch to another location (IT cabinet).

Hi,
HPE OfficeConnect 1920S switches (JL381A, JL385A), firmware PD.02.11.
We want to upload SSL certificate generated by our Windows AD CA:
Setup Network > Get Connected | HTTPS Connection
Download Certificate
File Type: SSL DH Strong Enryption Parameter PEM File
File: dhparam.pem
Status: Transfer complete
Download Certificate
File Type: SSL Server Certificate PEM File
File: certificate.pem (private key + signed certificate)
Status: Transfer complete
But after this we can see certificate is not uploaded/usable:
Setup Network > Get Connected | HTTPS Connection
Certificate Status: Absent
We switched logging to debug level but there is no record to log regarding certificates at all.
When I try SSL Trusted Root Certificate PEM File (some documentation claims it is not certificate for CA, but server certificate signed by CA), it ends with an error:
Download Certificate
File Type: SSL Trusted Root Certificate PEM File
File: certificate.pem (private key + signed certificate + CA public key; same result without public key)
Status: Transfer failed
Is there an issue with firmware?
Where we can report this (I have some other issues to report)?

We are using some HPE 1920S switches and RADIUS servers for MAC-based authentication
There are 3 PC-based RADIUS servers online. The Port Acces settings of HPE are:
Control Mode MAC Based
Quiet Period (Seconds) 0
Transmit Period (Seconds) 3
Guest VLAN ID 0
Guest VLAN Period (Seconds) 90
Unauthenticated VLAN ID 0
Supplicant Timeout (Seconds) 3
Server Timeout (Seconds) 3
Maximum Requests 5
MAC Authentication Mode
MAC Authentication Type EAP-MD5 PAP
Re-Authentication Period (Seconds) 0
Maximum Users 32
The clients are authenticated with 2 min delay or more. It's a problem.
Packet sniffer show EAP Request packet on interface. It seems that switch tries to start 802.1X session, but client do not support this.
How can I switch to pure mac-based authentication?
What is the reason of the delay and how can I remove it?
Thank you.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks.
Dear all,
I have an HP 1920G Switch.
I enabled only the service telnet and HTTPS.
I could not access the switch using HTTPS, but I could access the switch using telnet but I do not know what is the command to enable HTTP, and to check what I did not configure regarding HTTPS. I am getting an error certificate error when I try to access the switch using HTTPS.
Thanks a lot.
